It’s in the Bag

So much has come to pass this past month; I feel like I have a whole sack of blessings!

First, Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Frontwave New Music Festival (March 22nd - 24th)was an incredible success.  The weekend was filled with new music from living composers from all over the world, and included the premiere of my new work Descending into Light performed by saxophonist Matt Taylor and trombonist Hank Currey.  They did an amazing job, and I could not be more pleased with their work!

Second, A quick trip with lots of baggage... received another performance by Russ Zokaites at Bemidji State University in Minnesota (March 28th).  My goodness, I am so blessed to have a musician who consistently provides performances!  Thank you Russ - you rock!

Lastly, the arranging extravaganza of Easter music for string quartet has come to a completion.  I am thankful for being given an opportunity to share my talents to assist in the celebration of the resurrection (Luke 23:44 - 24:12).

This month another semester of teaching at Palm Beach Atlantic University will also come to a close.  Although I will miss my students, I am looking forward to the opportunity to work on my writing, and finally completing my new website which will include more listening examples and .pdfs for immediate purchase.

Many things have come to a completion, but there is much to look forward to.  Stop by again next month and I will share with you more details about my summer projects.

Until then, enjoy your blessings as I am enjoying mine :).
